TAA Membership
Membership
Any Tanzanian by birth or naturalization residing in Atlanta is a member.

There are two types of membership
1. Members with privileges
2. Members without privileges

To earn privileges a member shall pay an $60 annual fee. Membership privileges expire every December 31st and $60 annual fee is being collected starting January 1st. Membership privileges include financial assistance in case of death and hospitalization of a member, and death of member's immediate family members (birth parents or legal guardians, legal spouse and children).
Moral & Financial Assistance
The association may provide moral and financial assistance to members in a manner to be determined by the leadership. Any financial assistance is contingent upon the availability of funds. The leadership will have the final determination on administration of financial and moral assistance.

The association may provide some financial assistance in case of death and hospitalization of members and in case of a death of the following member's immediate family member; birth parents or legal guardians, legal spouse and children. The leadership will have the responsibility of determining family relations and confirmation of deaths.

The amount given to a member in case of immediate family member's death as described above (birth parents or legal guardians, legal spouse and children) is $300 and the amount given to a member in case of hospitalization of a member is $150. The leadership may change the benefit amount depending on the availability of funds.
Special Events
The association may sponsor and organize various special events to its members.
Become a member with privileges
To become a member with privileges, you need to pay $60 membership annual fee. Not only does paying a membership annual fee means that you want to be a member with privileges, but also it means you want to help your fellow Tanzanians in case of need.
